Frameless balcony glazing

Frameless balcony glazing is becoming more and more popular every year. Glazing the balcony protects both from harsh weather conditions and the attention of unwanted neighbors. The balcony glazing system reduces heat loss, brings spring earlier, keeps the balcony clean, expands the apartment area and reduces outside noise. In addition, it is an ideal solution for those who want to plant flowers on the balcony.

Glazing the balcony gives parents confidence about the safety of children and pets.

The system consists of 500-800 mm wide glasses. When glazing balconies, 6mm or 8mm hardened glass with polished edges is used, which breaks into granules. The latter are safe and do not cause injury.

What distinguishes us from others is the presence of "rollers" both above and below our ball bearings, which makes the movement smoother and more stable, and the system does not "hang" on the ceiling, but supports it. The most difficult are the last floors without a ceiling, in which case a canopy with an aluminum welded frame must be installed on the balcony beforehand.

A proper balcony glazing system does not require maintenance as the accessories are made of plastic. It is enough to wash the glasses and clean the profiles from dust and dirt with a cloth.

Do balcony glazing need a project or permit?

A permit is required if a complete reconstruction takes place, i.e. the characteristics of the building change significantly. An important change can be related, for example, to the thermal insulation of the building or to the technical characteristics or appearance of the building.

A building permit is not required for glazing, because in the case of KLAAS24 glazing technology, it is a frameless system, but KLAAS24 recommends always coordinating balcony glazing with the apartment association or manager (in writing). When concluding a contract with the client, we assume that the apartment association's consent is available and we do not need it separately.

Concealed water drain – In the upper part of the profile, there is a condensate channel for water drainage, which allows efficient drainage of rainwater and gives the system a cosmetic appearance. Rainwater does not enter the control profile of the system.

Smooth movement – In our system we use specially designed and coated rollers for each panel - 4 upper and 4 lower. This makes the system unstoppable. All panels open and close comfortably with minimal friction and noise.

Corrosion protection - All glazing system rollers and accessories are anti-corrosion.
